About the Project
Zajawka na życie is a 9-month, free program designed for young people aged 15-18 years based in Wrocław.
It offers a safe and supportive space to ease into adulthood — a place to explore one’s inner resources, build self-trust, and begin shaping a life that feels truly one’s own.
The program supports the development of emotional, social, and communication skills — helping young people feel more connected with themselves and others.
Zajawka na Życie is a space of dialogue, movement, working with emotions and relationship - Co-created with and for young people, based on what they truly need and not what the world expects from them.

What the participants say about “Zajawka”?
Our goal
To give participants the opportunity to enter the adulthood with openness, awareness of their inner strengths and sense of safety.
Why it is our goal?
of young people admits that
adulthood terrifies them

of students sometimes feel
useless
Report “Młode głowy. Otwarcie o zdrowiu psychicznym”, Unaweza Foundation 2023
of young people has
severely lowered self esteem
Report “Młode głowy. Otwarcie o zdrowiu psychicznym”, Unaweza Foundation 2023
of young people feel

Report “Młode głowy. Otwarcie o zdrowiu psychicznym”, Unaweza Foundation 2023
How do we want to achieve that?
- By helping young people build a deeper connection with themselves
- We help easing into adulthood
- By nurturing psychosocial skills
- Creating a safe and supportive community where everyone feels seen
- Offering space to explore and shape one’s own path
- By shining a light on the importance of mental health awareness
How do we do that?
We meet regularly
every week from October till June in small, steady groups. Each meeting lasts 3 hours and takes place in a safe space that supports trust, openness, and authenticity.
We focus on experience
Instead of lectures, we work through interactive workshops. We use methods such as nonviolent communication, psychoeducation, and values exploration — showing how they work in practice and teaching how to apply them in everyday life.
We give space for depth
Each topic is explored over several meetings — not to skim the surface, but to reflect, absorb, and bring insights into everyday life. We always follow the rhythm of the group — the timeline always follows the people, not the other way around.
Additional elements
Training
(Nonvilent Communication)
It's a space to develop skills that build self-confidence, a sense of agency, and prepare for a conscious, independent life.
Summary Camp
The program ends with a camp held at the “4 Żywioły” retreat center.
It’s a unique opportunity to go deeper into the themes explored during the workshops.
Inspiring Meetings
with people who live in harmony with themselves — guided by passion, values, and life experience. It’s a space for authentic stories and meaningful conversations that invite reflection and help others discover their own path.
*The camp is a special and meaningful closing element of the program — it’s paid, but we keep the cost as accessible as possible so that everyone who wants to join has the chance to take part.
