How it works?

Hands-on workshops
Hands-on workshops

Participants take part in hands-on sessions where they plant, care for and observe plants, compost, and learn through direct experience. The garden becomes a place for discovery, experimentation and the development of new skills.

Creating a shared space
Creating a shared space

Children and young people play an active role in creating and developing the garden. Together, they make decisions, plan activities and care for the space, transforming it into a place of collaboration, shared responsibility and meaningful connections.

Environmental education
Environmental education

Participants explore the principles of sustainable gardening, environmental protection and biodiversity. Learning takes place through hands-on experience and observation of natural processes, making knowledge both accessible and meaningful.

What We Do

The project goes beyond traditional gardening. Together, participants create a garden that becomes a space for connection, collaboration and building meaningful relationships. It is a place where children and young people can explore their interests, relax, organize shared activities and discover that they can make a real difference to the space around them.

Who is the project for?

The project is designed for children and young people living in residential care facilities in Wrocław. The workshops are designed to help every participant develop new skills through hands-on experience, strengthen their sense of agency, and build meaningful relationships with their peers and the natural environment.

Project outcomes

Participation in the project allows children and young people to experience that their actions matter. Taking shared care of the garden develops a sense of responsibility, teaches cooperation and strengthens their belief in their own abilities. The experiences gained during the workshops stay with participants long after the project ends, helping them build a lasting connection with nature and greater confidence in their everyday lives.
