Another meeting with seniors as part of the Seniors with Initiative project is behind us! This time, we gathered at the CAL Plac Grunwaldzki Od_Nowa community centre, where, together with the event leader Ania, we explored the world of creative decorations and discovered the art of decoupage.

Under Ania’s guidance, participants learned step by step how to decorate wooden boards and give them a completely new and unique look. Each participant could choose their favourite decorative paper and napkin designs and use them to create their own, one-of-a-kind composition.

At the next meeting, the seniors returned to their creations to make the final adjustments, seal the finished decorations and give them their final look. As a result, each wooden board became a small, handmade work of art that can be admired and serve as a reminder of the time spent together.

The Seniors with Initiative project encourages seniors to stay active, take initiative and bring their ideas to life, helping them develop their interests and strengthen their sense of empowerment. The decoupage workshops are one example of how shared activities can inspire people to discover new passions and build meaningful connections with others.

See you at our next gatherings!
