We are thrilled to announce the first artist of this year’s edition of Sounds of Veritas Festival, taking place July 2-6, 2026. Taking the stage will be Nessi Gomes, an internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter.

Nessi was born on the small island of Guernsey into a Portuguese family and both worlds can be heard in her music. On one hand, there is the depth and emotional richness of traditional Portuguese fado; on the other, the modern sensitivity of the British music scene. This unique blend creates a sound that is deeply personal, moving and authentic.

Her work is an intimate exploration of light and darkness, the human psyche, and the emotions that connect us all. The album was created in collaboration with producer Duncan Bridgeman and brought to life with the support of her fan community. Subtle inspirations from artists such as Björk and Kate Bush can be heard in her music, yet her sound remains entirely original and unmistakably her own.

Beyond her concert activity, she also leads Vocal Odyssey. It’s a vocal workshop and retreats where participants are invited to discover and consciously work with their own voice. These gatherings attract people from various countries who seek to deepen their connection with their voice and personal expression.
